Yes,
There has been several related to cyberbullying. Many people have been wrongly accused of things over the internet and must take it to the supreme court to get justice.

Does that mean it makes it easier for people to get a conviction since there has already been cases?

Exactly and when more cases are in favor of the victim the easier it will be to convict future bullies because they will be compared to the pervious cases.

These types of cases should be handled in the local courts and not bother the supreme courts. Bullying is a big problem but the supreme court justices should be dealing with bigger cases and not so much individuals.

Many have gone to supreme court because the local courts dont want to get their hands dirty and do the right thing by punishing the bully. Nobody wants to be in the news as a judge for punishing a child but when it comes to bulling we should stop being so passive.

Very often actually. When parents see their child's case get swept under the rug at a local level they usually are not satisfied and want to take it to the supreme court. This is the final stop and if something is indeed wrong with the treatment your son or daughter is receiving at school then your voice will be heard in the highest of courts.

If the local courts would stop trying to keep their hands clean it wouldnt have to become a supreme court ruling.

I think now bullying is being considered an epidemic so I think government intervention is not too far away. Which should free up a lot of the courts time if a specific set of rules and guidelines are put in place.

I would think the supreme court would ignore bullying cases since they do such a lousy job with everything else
