Gay kids in school have a very rough time perhaps you could ask your principal to have a anti-homophobic assembly where you ask for the students participation and hopefully it turns into something more.

The problem with this is there are a lot of staff against kids being "open" in school. There was an article a few weeks back about a teacher who openly disapproved of a gay student attending a middle school dance, and went so far as to have a petition signed to have this poor kid banned from attending and any other kid displaying "gay" tendencies. It's disgusting. We teach our kids to be themselves, to find there self, and then we have the one person who "teaches" our children to be an individual, tell your not welcome for your sexuality. Disgusting....

That makes me sick to my stomach a teacher could have so much resentment toward one of her students that deserves an education just like everyone else

I know, right? I wish I had saved that article to post on here... I could probably google and find. Maybe I will. Check back soon!

The students should have had a petition for the teacher's release from the school

I hear about this story. It was all over the news. I would have loved to see the petition for the teachers release, like how would she feel??

Just like you have elections in the schools for president and treasury you can have them for policing the hallways. Kids can work with the teachers and faculty to help create new ways of stopping the bullying because they are involved with the latest trends that may be overlooked by an adult.
