If you bullied kids when you were younger what are you going to do to teach your children that bullying is wrong so they dont follow in your footsteps?

You should explain to them in full detail about your past experience as bullying people and how it got you nothing but negativity. Get the point across that you wish you would have never bullied and you would have had a lot more opportunities for friendships and fun.

It is your duty to guide them in the right direction and make sure that they understand that you can never bully your peers. You of all people should be able to get that through to them.

Sadly some parents that were bullied dont feel that its that big of a deal to explain how bullying is wrong and when their kids get into trouble for bullying they dont punish them and send the message that it is ok.

Kids listen when they know that you have been there before. You have to share your stories good or bad with them so they understand. Simply telling a child to not do something makes them want to do it because they dont understand and are rebelious by nature.

This is really sad. As a parent I dont understand how you dont want to teach your children that bullying is wrong on so many levels.

Tough love. If I see my son bullying his younger brother I bully him and over power him but nothing too rough to hurt him just to show him that its not fair picking on someone smaller because they dont have a chance and that is bullying.

Dont hide anything or they will detect it and stop listening to you
