Its better to be on both sides so you understand what bullying really is and find out how it feels

I think it did the opposite for me - after being physically bullied, I had more sympathy for other kids. Can't say i had much experience though - I was always pretty big or had bigger friends.

This is the reason why some schools, among other reasons, have went to uniform schools. I've struggled being a single income family my whole life, and its hard to provide anything more than necessities for kids. I wished they would do uniform schools everywhere. My kids always comes home wanting something I couldn't afford. Kids would make fun of my daughter for her shoes, or lack of wearing the "fad" outfit of the week. My kids won't bully. But my eldest, whom is 19 now, did. He got tired of being made fun of, then mentally he got expelled from school.

it was the opposite for me. I was physically bullied as a very young kid, it gave me empathy for others. It never made me want to physical bully others.

I think that many people may take out their frustration's on others, (and bully) but being bullied doesn't birth a bully.

it's hard to decipher who will and will not be a bully. We can say it's a learned behavior, but I was bullied and never "learned" or wanted to bully others. it's such a fine line...

I think that's 100% true, but everyone who bullies wasn't bullied. I think that some people bullied on a personal and case by case basis. For a lot of different reasons.

I think bullies come from lack of good parenting.
