What are some of the policies that you, or your kids, have in place at the school in cases of bullying? Do you think they work? Are they used in every case? What do you think would be a better approach to handling kids who are being bullied?

At my old school if you bullied someone and there was a witness you would be suspended for 1 day after more than 2 incidents were reported. It should be every time you get caught you get kicked out but its not. Also they should make them go into a class with all bullies and they can just bully each other and leave everyone else alone.

Yeah, but detention is usually an hour, or after school type thing. If you have full day class away from the rest of the school, including lunches, eventually the bully will be tired of bullying other bullies, get a dose of his own medicine, or become lonely and want to interact with the rest of school and stop their bad behavior. Makes sense to me!

Seriously! its the same things that happens to prisoners that want to reform. Something finally clicks in their head and the understand that they have to play nice and by the rules if they want to be included in everything.

Like the "hole" for school kids! It sounds good, but you know parents wont tolerate their child being outed like that. Put it to a vote!!! I say this needs to be done. ZERO TOLERANCE for any type of bullying whether at school, or after on any social media, as long as there is proof.

I think the schools should do much more research and testing to find out what programs actually work, then implement them.
