Right on! I agree with this more than anything else.

If the 3 strikes are attacks and not a mutual fight then I think its fair. There is a huge difference between two people squaring up when tensions get high but to have one student attacking others at their leasure they dont belong in that school.

Its fair to me too. If you want to fight then go to a school filled with kids that want to do that and leave the ones serious about education alone!

Sounds good! Where do I sign the petition to implement this program into my kids school?! Lol

Like California's 3 strikes policy. That's good - they should implement that one.

Most schools have a 3 strike policy, not necessarily geared towards bullying, but for behavior in general. They need to do one for bullying. It's become serious enough to need a separate policy for bullying. And it needs to have a no tolerance, just as the "fighting" policy, and be in effect at every school across the board.

I have always thought that if you aggressively start a fight like an attack you should be kicked out of school the first time.If you think you are allowed to attack another classmate you dont belong in that school until you learn how to act right.

Most schools have a zero tolerance fighting policy. First fight is usually 2-3 day suspension. 2nd offense is a week or more and third time is expulsion. If they could copy cat this somehow into a bullying program, there may be a decline in bullying and suicides.
