I agree with you and disagree at the same time. I dont think they should have to do a bully class after the third strike because thats too minor for a 3rd offense. Maybe each strike should be a different and harsher punishment. 1st strike is the bully classes so it will deter any aggressive behavior for the first offense. 2nd strike should be harsher because now you have taken a class and still conduct the same behavior so im thinking a longer stay in the program and maybe some form of community service but instead of doing it for the city you do it for your school plus are given an assignment on the lessons you learned in the bully program and must pass a test before being allowed dismissal. This way you not only have been trained but proven that you understand bullying completely and how wrong it is. The 3rd strike I cant figure if it should be the expulsion or just a severe suspension with maybe a short visit at opportunity school. Having clear and direct forms of punishment and education for the bully program is key before it is even made available in the school district. Maybe even have this program become a federal funding project so it is taken more seriously and becomes a permanent program in school nation wide.
