Is your dad telling you to stop crying and toughen up? How do you get him to listen?

maybe some dads, I think most mothers have that department covered.

I know a few moms who need some more sensitivity training. It needs to be given though, so that the parents can pass it on to their kids.

There would need to be an incentive for him going or most dads would never leave the garage
