In 8th grade I moved 8 and a half hours away from my home. I left all of my friends, my cheer gym, my school, everything that was close to my heart. Can you talk about sad? I was the definition of depressed. To make things worse, the girls at my new school are the meanest people I've ever known. They would deliberately leave me out and talk about me behind my back and I would cry myself to sleep every night. However, my safe haven was competitive cheer. If I didn't have to go to practice twice a week I don't know where I would be right now. I remember the bullying be so bad that I would have rather died then go to school another day. But my mom made me push through and keep getting back up. It made me a stronger person and I would like to just thank all those girls for that right now. You don't define who I am, and I am proud to say that!
