We'll all throughout elementary, middle and high school I was bullied, teased, hit, made fun of and harassed. It started when I was about in third grade and I got glasses. The reason I got glasses was probably where it started so let me back up. I went to my dads on the weekends and my neighbors Michael and dusty used to come over and we would go exploring in the woods and building forts. One day dusty was being a jerk and decided to throw sand in my eyes and there was no water for miles. So I was screaming and crying and burning itchy sand was damaging my eyes as I ran back home to get help and to wash my eyes out. Next week my vision didn't get better so I had to get glasses. Kids at school started calling me four eyes and nerd and silly things that somewhat hurt when your in third grade. So later in 5th -7th I was in private school and a guy named Patrick ** and Paul ** and some other jerk I can't remember would always call me poor and make fun of my off rand clothes and backpack and would love to call me gay even tho I wasn't. They also gave me a swirly one day and I told the principle and all that happened dis they got detention one day. The next day they retaliated and punched me in the face breaking my glasses and the teacher and principle said I started it and wanted to suspend me just because they believed Patrick when he aid I hit first . His family was wealthy and obviously was in good with the school faculty he was a suck up. So my mom took me out of that school and back to public school I went. 8th grade went ok until I was setup by a punk kid named Doyle ** and one of the teachers who had it out for me. He was to ** witch turned out to be fake and they ended up being a setup and long story short I was suspended. So then I got back and this girl I had a crush on supposedly had called me and said she liked me too and wanted me to sit next to her at lunch and said it would be ok if I wanted to give her a hug . So I went to school the next day and did just that and she acted like she didn't know what I was doing and everyone started laughing and then this girl named Casey ** said hey Corey it was me I called you and pretended to be her. So I was so embarrassed. Then later in high school it was nothing but kids calling me gay. Threatening to kill me and hit me and some of them ended up getting in fights with me sometimes I'd loose sometimes I'd win. At this point I was getting tougher and stopped taking shit from people as much but it still hurt hearing rumors floating around about me being gay and no girls would date me from that school because they'd be made fun of. So that's pretty much it but even after high school some of the rumors still followed me and ruined some relationships. I ended up going to school for computer repair and networking. I started working on friends and neighbors computers and started building computers in high school. I got some business cards made up and made flyers and put them in random places and on doorsteps and that laid the foundation for what I say now is a successful computer business that I own and run myself and enjoy and love. I ended up meeting the love of my life on Facebook of all places and we have been married now for 3years and been together for almost 4. I'm living proof things get better. Ignoring the bullies doesn't help you just have to get tough and fight back sometimes and pursue your goals and dreams and stay busy with other stuff the more you stay at home and think about the bullies the more depressed you get. Get a hobby. Build something. Get into cars or computers. Just have faith and know your not alone.

You prove how traumatic the act of bullying is showing that you still know the first and last name of your childhood bullies. I bet if you close your eyes you can still see it as if it were yesterday. Not something that anyone would like to remember but its not your choice. One huge reason we should try so much harder as adults to prevent this from happening to another kid
