Sofia Hayat is a British actress, model and singer who worked on both British and Indian projects.

Hayat started acting professionally when she landed her first role with the BBC on the show Absolute Power. She has appeared in TV advertising campaigns for brands including Walkers Crisps, McDonald's, and Timotei hair shampoo. She starred in Fur TV, where she played a Latino with a Brazilian accent. Hayat also hosted and judged a show for second season of the reality TV show Superdude. In May 2013, Hayat starred in the BBC adaption of "Bollywood Carmen". She later appeared in BBC's Waterloo Road, and Jonathan Creek.

While talking to the Hindustan Times newspaper, the British singer and actor recalled how she was bullied and beaten up with a stick by Armaan Kohli. “I hate him; he is a horrible person. He abused me and hit me in the face with a handle...,” said Sofia. She also expressed regret over not hitting him back for the abuses he hurled over her.
Sofia revealed to the daily that Armaan is an extremely violent person.
