W. Brett Wilson grew up in North Battleford Saskatchewan, a very small farm city on the prairies. Always being focused on his books, Brett was bullied for being a 'GEEK' and 'Nerd' and left out of the more popular circles.
Today Brett is one of the most wealthy men in Canada. He recently became a member of the Order of Canada, which recognizes the achievement of outstanding merit or distinguished service by Canadians who made a major difference to Canada through lifelong contributions in every field of endeavour. In 1985 he was the first to graduated from the University of Calgary with a specialization in entrepreneurship. Over the last few years, he has become well known to the public for his work on the television shows Dragons' Den and his own show Risky Business. As a philanthropist, Brett has dedicated much of his time and money for charities, including an anti bullying charity called Dare2Care. He is also the founder of Wilson Centre for Domestic Abuse Studies and the Calgary Counseling Centre. His personal, entrepreneurial and philanthropy accolades are almost literally endless. Brett now embraces his bully word.
