Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 4 newcomer Joyce Giraud seems to have it all: beauty, brains, and a lovely family. But life wasn’t always so easy for the former beauty queen!
Speaking to Too Fab, Joyce admitted she had some awkward times as a teenager, and was even bullied for being too skinny.
“In Puerto Rico everybody is a little more voluptuous, with these beautiful bodies and there I was the skinny lanky girl," said Joyce. "So they called me Olive Oil [from Popeye], they said my body was the spaghetti and my head was the meatball."
We’ll bet those bullies are eating their words now. Joyce Giraud eventually went on to become a two time Miss Puerto Rico, and was second runner up in the 1998 Miss Universe Pageant. From there, Joyce made an easy transition into modeling and later acting, appearing in television shows like House of Payne and films such as Dude, Where’s My Car? and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. You can even catch her in the upcoming summer “reality” thriller Siberia, which premieres July 1 on NBC.
Inspired by her past experience with bullies, Joyce is also actively involved in the anti-bullying organization The Friend Movement.

Everyone should be part of a anti bullying organization just so they can be involved
