Before I went to high school I was told by my parents, friends of parents, teachers, etc. that high school was going to be the best four years of my life. I was so excited.
It started the first day of my freshman year. In orchestra class.
I played the cello and was first chair. I had a big crush on the guy who sat behind me, who also played cello. He was your typical immature pretty boy who thought he was hot stuff. He took advantage of the fact that I liked him so much and would lead me on and make me do things to make him think I would get something in return and I never did, all I received was neglect, sometimes even worse.
I crushed on him all through my junior year, when I got my first real cell phone. He got me to send him several naked pictures, my face in all of them. Doing this made me feel good, it made me feel like I was sharing something private with the person I thought I cared about the most. But the next day, the whole school knew me as the school sl*t. Everyone had received my pictures in text form and sent them to their friends. I'm not sure exactly how many people have seen them, but it has to be a couple hundred. From then on, my life had been ruined. I started my darkest days of depression. I cut my wrists and didn't try to hide it. I was sent to the hospital in an EMS truck after my parents called the police on me one afternoon because I was throwing a fit in my room, cutting and screaming and threatening to kill myself if someone didn't stop the bullying.
I started meeting people online, not just boys but friends in general, that I knew didn't go to my school or didnt know anyone that went there. I had no friends from my school and dreaded every day going there. I ate lunch in the corner of the hallway by the auditorium, on the floor, where no one could see me.
These people I started meeting got me into drugs and alcohol. I went out and got trashed every night I could. It was addicting to get messed up because I could forget about my real life and live in the moment.
Time went on and I finally graduated high school, barely. I'm currently smoking half a pack of cigarettes a day, about a gram of weed every day, and on weekends I sneak into the bar with my 24 year old boyfriend and get drunk. I have several piercings on my face and nothing is stopping me from getting more and more tattoos. I die my hair every few weeks and cover my face in makeup sometimes it's almost unrecognizable.
This isn't how my mother raised me and you can see a huge difference between me and my younger sister. I am the teenage rebel, and she is the angel.
I never expected to turn out like this. When I was a kid, I had dreams of being a princess, or a country singer, or just a pretty girl with long blonde hair and a soft touch.
I think I could have reached my goal if it wasn't for the one person, the bully, that changed me.
It's too late to turn back now. I am who I am currently, and it's not going to change. I'm quite content with my life now that high school is over and I don't know those people anymore. But it still haunts me.

Im so sad that nobody told you that you have rights and your picture being passed around was illegal.I think its important that young impressionable girls like yourself have the knowledge before starting high school that things like that need to be handled before they become out of control. That boy that took advantage of you could have been brought up on charges and I wish your parents could have helped you more. I hope that you can move passed this now into adulthood and protect your little sister from anyone trying to take advantage of her. You are a beautiful girl who could be Emma Stone's double in a movie so dont sell yourself short and accept being just a rebel from Michigan because you really could change your life and move out west to become a star!

Does your mother like your boyfriend or does she think he is a bad influence on you?
