man who hacked into hundreds of email accounts to steal nude photos and then sold them to a revenge porn site was sentenced to 25 months in federal prison on Monday.

Charles Evens, 26, pleaded guilty in July to one count of unauthorized access to a protected computer to obtain information for purposes of private financial gain and one count of aggravated identity theft, the Department of Justice said in a statement.

Sentencing him Monday, United States District Judge Dolly M. Gee imposed a one-month sentence for the computer hacking and a mandatory two-year term for the identity theft count.

Evens, from California's San Fernando Valley, was also ordered to pay a $2,000 fine, $147.50 in restitution to one of his victims and to perform 20 hours of community service.

Back in July, Evens admitted that he hacked into accounts to obtain nude pictures that were later posted on a revenge porn website.

Website operator Hunter Moore — who has been called "the most hated man on the Internet" —pleaded guilty in February to the same two offenses that Evens admitted to, according to a July DOJ news release.

During the course of their inquiries, FBI investigators discovered a 2011 email from Moore to Evens stating that he would like as many nude pictures from hacked email accounts as possible.

Evens then hacked into Google email accounts, taking the pictures and giving them to Moore who then posted them on his site. Moore paid $145.70, the DOJ said.

Moore is scheduled to be sentenced on November 30. He faces a maximum possible penalty of seven years in federal prison, and a mandatory minimum sentence of two years, the DOJ said.
