The Scots chart-topper said he was picked on nearly every day by cruel classmates and endured countless beatings.
The 37-year-old believes he became a target for playground thugs at St Cuthbert’s Primary in Glasgow because he has a face you either want to “kiss or punch”.
Healy said: “I didn’t really like school, I got bullied quite a bit at primary school. That thing of going to school and being scared walking up the road every day.
“It’s only when you start talking about it that you realise how traumatic it was.
“I was punched — there was a few guys and I didn’t fight back. I was terrorised, terrorised what felt like every single day.”
Healy said he learned how to use his natural charm to avoid being bullied when he went to Holyrood Secondary School in the city — which is now the subject of a controversial fly-on-the-wall TV documentary by the makers of hit BBC Scotland show The Scheme.
The Writing To Reach You singer said: “In secondary school I was in the maddest class in the year. But I learned to be charming and the guys were great and stuck up for me.”
