A young beauty queen who has landed herself a modelling contract has a secret double life - as a cage fighter.
Chloe Adcock, from Cannock, Staffordshire, started cage fighting and kick boxing when she was just 11 years old - after bullies made fun of her appearance.
Since then the 18-year-old has been snapped up by two model agencies and is in the running to be crowned Miss Teen Earth UK.
But the teenager is just as comfortable in the ring as on the catwalk - and enjoys nothing more than body slamming an opponent in her spare time.
Miss Adcock, who is studying for her GCSEs before going to college in September, said: 'I got into cage fighting when I started high school.
'I got bullied a lot - girls used to say I was ugly and it really upset me.
'A group of girls used to attack me and kicked me a few times.
'My mum suggested that I start doing some self-defence classes to give me a bit more self-esteem and improve my confidence, and I thought it was a good idea.
'But as soon as I started kick boxing and cage fighting I was hooked.
'I practice three or four times a week and it's my real passion.
'I'd never really thought of modelling until a couple of years ago, when my gran suggested I do something a bit more feminine.
'She entered me into the Miss British Isles competition without me knowing - and I was amazed when I won my local heat and was crowned Miss Staffordshire in 2010.
'I got spotted during the competition and asked to model for MTV - which is where I got signed up with an agency.
'I never thought modelling would be something that I would be good at, but I'm glad my gran entered me for the competition - it's been amazing.'
Miss Adcock is now a finalist in the Miss Teen Earth UK beauty competition - but despite her modelling success, she has no plans to give up her dangerous hobby.
She added: 'I'm happy doing modelling and fighting at the moment, but if I ever had to choose between them, I'd have to stick with my cage fighting.
'Fortunately, I've never been seriously injured while fighting, but turning up for a shoot with a black eye is probably not a good idea.
'I do give my training a miss for a few days if I know I have a photo-shoot coming up.
'I'd like to continue with both as hobbies - but my real ambition is to have my own event planning business.'
Her mother, Tracy, said: 'I've told her that she should really choose between the two - but she is determined to do both.
'We're really proud of her though, and will, of course, support her in whatever she chooses to do.'
