"This is a very important thing to me, especially personally. I was bullied when I was in school, and even my nephew was bullied earlier this year," said David Otunga, a two-time WWE tag-team champion. "So I know how tough it is on kids to try to succeed in school and you're getting picked on every day."
Otunga told students he was picked on as a child for earning good grades.
"I guess that made me a nerd," he said.
The bullying got so bad that he didn't want to go to school at times, he recalled. It's something he said he hopes kids in the future won't have to worry about.
"But there's strength in numbers for kids banding together," he said.
