The captain of the England women's national football team has helped sporty students to bend it like Beckham.
Casey Stoney, who plays club football for Lincoln Ladies, trained and talked to year eight girls at Frederick Gough School.
Casey, 30, has been capped more than 100 times for England, and most recently played at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup.
Despite being bullied as a youngster over her interest in sport, she has gone on to become one of the country's best ever women footballers.
She visited Frederick Gough as part of the Sky Sports Living For Sport campaign.
She said: "The whole programme focuses on using sport to engage with young people in different ways.
"My journey has not been easy, and there were no girls teams when I was young. I played for a boys team until I was 11, but wasn't allowed to be involved after that age.
"I want to show these girls that if you work hard, you can achieve what you want.
"I was bullied at school for being so interested in sport, but I want to inspire these girls to get involved from an early age."
During her visit to Frederick Gough, Casey led training drills with the girls as well as classroom sessions.
Year eight student Charlotte Coles, 12, said: "It was inspiring to meet Casey, because she's told us about the troubles she faced growing up. If she can get this far, I feel like we could do the same."
Holly Ashton, 13, said: "Casey has taught us to follow our dreams and never give up."
Sarah Binch, sports co-ordinator at Frederick Gough, said: "Casey has helped promote leadership and self-belief amongst these girls.
"They now see that football is not just a man's world, and she is the perfect role model."
The next international tournament for England women's football team is the UEFA Women's Euro 2013, hosted by Sweden. Casey and her teammates are currently in the qualifying stage, battling for a place in the tournament.
Casey has also been named as part of the Team GB squad for the Olympic women's football tournament.
