I'm a 47 yr old man. I was bullied all through school. Called every name possible. I joined the US NAVY for 5 yrs. While in the Navy I came out . I learned how to fight and stand up for myself. I'm a manly man but have had to fight various times throughtout my life. I live in NC where they just outlawed gay marriages. Stupidiest thing ever. I've been with my Partner for 20 yrs now. We are a monogmous couple . We'veoutlived most of our family memebers marriages. We've raised 6 children together all very productive in society. I just want to let younger Gay kids it does get better. Life is what you make it, not what people tell you it has to be.

I am with you Jeff how can we elect a black president then prejudice towards gay rights? Its seriously a joke how Americans cant read history books and stop this hateful discrimination like we have done so many times in the past.

Are you kidding me? I'm also a veteran and he's done alot for us. Would you rather have a bible thumping republican in the white house? He's came out and said he believes in gay marriages. Give the man time. Maybe you need to do a bit more research before you call someone out. Directed @ blanked

I think you misunderstood him Jeff, he was pointing out that we took 2 steps forward by electing a black president but then took 3 steps back by being against equal rights for gays. Obama will get a lot done for this country so I hope he gets 4 more years to handle all these current problems.
